Hi,
I'm trying to simulate a process that is close to drawing. The model has two parts: the first is a long rectilinear beam (meshed with beam elements), the second is a rigid surface with very irregular shape (meshed as analytical rigid surface). This is essentially a 2D problem. The beam elements component should accomodate over the rigid surface loaded only with it's own weight (imposed as a gravity load through *dload command). I've solved this problem in a very compliceted (i.e. time consuming :-( ) way but I'm sure that there should be an easier way. Any suggestion?
By the way I use contact pair with tabular pressure-overclosure behaviour for the interaction between the two component.
Thanks in advance guys
bye
