Hi guys,

Does any have any thought why this happens in modal analysis? All elements are beam and is modeled in spaceclaim. all nodes are connected in spaceclaim and there is no gap in model. but when I import it to modal analysis nodes seperate and first and second frequencies bcome zero.

Can you post a picture of your Spaceclaim model's structure tree.

mosii,

Perhaps the two edges isn't exactly coincident in SpaceClaim. Eyes can be deceiving. You try doing this to help diagnose:
https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Ansys/17.0/en-us/help/spaceclaim/Show_Contact.htm.

In SpaceClaim, try moving an edge of the beam away, then move "up to" back to the other edge to avoid any gaps between the edges of the two beams. Do this for all 3 axes of that edge.

Kind regards,
Jason
