Bearing Capacity of Gravelly Boulder Strata

Dear sir

I have a site with gravelly boulder with coarse sand upto 25 m from NGL. SPT and DCPT value is quite higher more than 50, Maximum size of boulder is arround 40 cm, i have to design footing with pressure of 50 t/m2, which codes, standards or books are useful to me for calculation of bearing capacity of isolated or raft or pile foundation.

Where did you get the 50 t/m2? That is 500 kPa, possibly achievable in the material you described, but some local knowledge would be helpful.

I got 50t/m2 from structure designer, so i need documents regarding bearing capacity of boulder strata.

Sort of backwards... I usually get the bearing capacity from the Geotekkie...

50t/m^2 is fairly high; can the structural engineer verify this and with a reputable source?
