Beginner: How to export data tables

I want to be honest, I am an absolute beginner with working with SolidEdge but have had a request presented to me to create a program that exports the information in a BOM table to a spreadsheet. Can someone point me to anything that will help me with the APIs required to:

A. Find a data table in a drawing file.
B. Read the data.

I realize this is probably a simple request, but when you're starting at zero that makes it difficult. I have the SDK and the programmer's guide, which has some excellent samples for various things, but doesn't seem to have anything to guide me to the various interfaces I am actually needing.

There are several sources for API/programming help with Solid Edge.

The main one is the Solid Edge Developer Community here that contains a BLOG, Discussion Group, and Knowledge Base:

Also, in your SE install path there is a Custom folder that has a few samples in it.
