Bend Radius position for end bars 1

I am aware of the required under British standards for the bend radius of the bottom reinforcement of a beam to start after the middle of the support. What if anything is similarly outlined under AS3600? I have seen reference to 12d PLUS cog from the face of the support but this would seem quite excessive unless it is perhaps supposed to include the bend itself.
Any reference to applicable clauses would be appreciated.

In NZ it is 8db then the full cog/hook length for comparison. Hooks must extend 3/4 of the column depth. For seismic the 8db is the yield penetration, the region where bond breaks down under cyclic loading. Your 12db you've seen is probably similar.

British standards don't/didn't consider seismic loading and detailing. So making a direct comparison isn't really comparing apples with apples.
