Hello All,
Section I Part PEB, PEB-17.2 Stated that:
"after the assembly of the boiler pressure vessel and the mechanically assembled boiler external piping and trim, the completed electric boiler shall be given a final hydrostatic test at a pressure not less than the pressure relief valve setting."
The boiler pressure vessel under consideration is a Miniature Boiler which do not exceed the limits of PMB-2.1.
The boiler is Electric Boiler of the immersion resistance element type boiler as per PEB-2.3.
I have few question regarding this Paragraph:
1. Does the pressure relief valve need be part of the test or i can isolate or disconnect it?
2. Does anyone know if there any exemption to this requirements? is there any case which allows to not preform the required hydrostatic test?
