Best Carbon steel / alloy steel for cold forming

Hello team,

Looking for the most formable in room temperature carbon/ alloy steel pipe.
High formability high elongation.

Also do you know what's the current welding practice of carbon/ alloy steels in the field today?

As low a carbon steel as you can find. Adding nickel content helps with elongation. Oh, and get it in annealed condition.

Admittedly, this is not my area of expertise. However, do consider 12L14. Its leaded, low carbon content should be what you need.

12L14 is definitely NOT formable.Neither does it come in pipe.
