Wanting to know of a free CAD software to make things like mounts. Not really looking for stuff like blender as I don’t need to be detailed just simple dimensions and objects.
which one?

It's not free, but it's cheap - the Solidworks Student license is the best CAD deal on the planet at $100/year for a fully functioning system.

If it must be $0, fusion 360 is far superior to any of the free web browser based solutions (freecad, sketchup, etc). It's an actual commercial product with the support of one of the gorillas of the CAD market behind it.

FreeCAD is not browser-based. And it’s the only option when it comes to 100% free software. I definitely recommend it if you don’t mind that it’s not as user-friendly as other CAD programs and has some limitations (with workarounds available in most cases). It should be perfectly sufficient for your purpose. Commercial solutions are more intuitive and advanced but never completely free without any restrictions.

If you really are a student, check out Autodesk's offerings. Free one year licenses to pretty much all of their software for educators and students. You can keep renewing as long as you remain a student.
