I am carrying out my final year university dissertation where my hypothesis is as follows: "British Standard 8110 places a limitation on the redistribution of moments at 30%, this value is conservative".
Any hints on the necessary tests to carry out would be appreciated, but my question at the moment is what type of deflection gagues are the best to use and where can I get them. I am in the U.K.
Thank folks
Ollie

Suggest you look under Instrumentation Engineering. Many Instrumentation suppliers in the UK will supply gauges (ELE is one) but try Yellow Pages or Kelley's index.
