thoughts ?

a 7000 lb plane ... so Part 23
250 nm range ... well that's good, but payload ? reserves ??
maybe 4 pax ?
speed ?
knowing the installed battery capacity would be nice
recovery chute (like Cirrus) ?
I'm not sure that a primarily helicopter is an efficient mode for electric planes ... giving up on "free" lift ?
possibly the lift fans drop power in flight as the wings develop lift.
It is a pretty puny looking pusher prop ?

they do note ...

well, they are #3 on this index:
lots of similar competitors, with dreams (fantasies) for getting certified. will be interesting to see it all play out. FAA just published certification conditions for Joby,
and assuming one of these gets certified, and actually into production, what is the market going to be for usage? are we going to see 1000's flying over LA and NYC every day??

stay tuned ........

"are we going to see 1000's flying over LA and NYC every day??" ... 'course not 1

from YT "Archer Aviation plans to build 250 air taxis in 2025" ... how many will they actually do ? ... zero

sorry misread it ... how many will they build ? maybe a dozen. how many will they deliver ? zero

The idea of hundreds or even thousands of such aircraft (flying autos?)in the air, how on earth is this going to controlled? Road safety is bad enough, but this?

It looks as if the helicopter parts fold up in flight.

Because complexity is good.

I suspect they park them in a front back configuration.

But it is definitely a bit OTT to do VTOL. At least it hovers.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

"At least it hovers." ... yeah, in MS Flight Sim.
