Folks--

Hope y'all can help with this one. We have an old BIF meter and I would like to find info on how we can get an attachment to send out a 4-20 output from the unit. But the problem is that I can't seem to find anyone who deals with these meters anymore.

Any lead?

Thanks!

If you have an electronic display unit with the meter then you can trap the signal. Otherwise, buy a dP transmitter and hook it to the flow device.

Some manufacturers of dP transmitters are Emerson Process Controls(Fischer Rosemount), Endress+Hauser and Yokogawa etc,.

why not just try BIF themselves. The original BIF was bought by a group of former employees and are still doing business in flow metering.

They should be able to help you with the calibration of the existing flow element so you can install a modern DP transmitter.
