Black powder concentration

Hi all,
Generally what will be the black powder concentration in a sales gas cross-country pipeline in gm/mmscf...if we are not conducting any sampling/surveys.

On the basis that you have not had a reply, the answer is that there is no "general" other than as low as possible. If you look up "gas pipeline black powder" from google, a number of interesting articles appear about how it is formed and the immense difficulty of getting rid of it when it does.

Some pipelines are plagued with it, others don't see it at all.

If there is a 2% of H[sub]2[/sub]O molecular content, there is a possibility of black powder. To prevent it make sure that after hydro-testing and removal of air through the pipe, the drying process is done more than once (its crucial) to secure that water content isn't seen.
