Blocks and Attributes

AutoCAD 2007 or AutoCAD 2008:

I created a Dynamic Block and now I want to add a text attribute to it. (Keynoting) However, when I create the new block assigning the attribute to the existing dynamic block I loose all my dynamic functions and the new block becomes a block with an attribute.

Knowing this, I tried creating my attribute in my block editor. When I close the block editor and return to model space the attribute can not be seen. I have used attdisp to make sure everything was on, the settings do not have invisible checked and the layer it is drawn in is on. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the help.

If you have the block created, then add an attribute to it later, or modify attributes in an existing block, may need to use attsync (full release only, not in LT that I know of) to get the blocks updated to the latest definition
