Blocks Update...again

Last time I went through a titleblock update I updated and saved all blocks. Then saved sheet formats and templates. I am updating again and wondering why do I need to update all three levels (if you will). I really would like to just update the information for the titleblock within the Blocks (that are linked) and be done with it?

Any tips here, or confirmation that I do indeed have to update all three levels would be greatly appreciated (maybe I'll have to create a macro). Thanks for your time,

Why are you making blocks out of your title block? That, in most cases, is an extra level of work that may not be necessary. But yes, you still need Sheet Format and Drawing Template. Each of these does different functions.

Matt, I did the blocks in order to import them into existing old drawings, and so they can be used in 2D DWGeditor. If there is a better way there I'd be glad to hear it. It looks like I am stuck with having multiple files to update each time the block changes.

You can update the title block in an old (SW) drawing by reloading the sheet format (assuming the block is part of the format, which is usually is). I don't know about DWGeditor though. You still have to update the format and template files.

The blocks in .dwg editor are useful. I would explore just creating those blocks within the editor from the entities in the SW drawing.
