received a drawing from a vendor and none of the blocks in the drawing will plot, they all show up in the drawing, and are not on a no plot layer. any suggestions? (other than exploding all of the blocks).

The blocks may not appear to be on a no plot layer, but you will have to explode them to find out for sure.
If the entities in a block are on a no plot layer (or defpoints) when the block is created, they will stay on the layer, even if you change the layer the block itself is on. If the block is created with the objects on layer "0" then it will inherit the properties of whateve layer is gets placed on.

I would suggest expoding one to find out what is was created on.

thank-you, the blocks were created on layer 0, and had retained the no plot aspects of that layer even after changing the layer that the blocks were on. Perfect

have you tried to explode the blocks? have you also checked the layers to see if the print icon has a slash on it? or if the print icon in the layors is greyed out u should be able to click it.
