The application is for 7800 ft, 2850 gpm, 338 F boiler feedpump. The following pump types are being considered:
Cartridge Barrel
Segmental Ring Section
Horizontal Split Casing Pump

We have been using segmental ring section pumps for combined cycle projects. This is coal fired project and the traditional pump was cartridge barrell or in the early 90s horizontal split casing pump.

Which pump presents the best value?

Thanks in advance for your input!

I should prefer Cartridge Barrel Pump, a good compromise between Segmental Ring Section (too light for the service) and Horizontal Split Casing Type (too heavy). This is just only a personal opinion based on my experiences.
