Boiler required PSV

Hi gentlemen,
I have a question, I just want to ask why we have two PSV required in boiler steam drum? and if it is required by ASME, what specific Section I can find it. Thank you

It depends on the boiler design code. If ASME I (2021) Section PG-67 stipulates the Pressure-relief Valve requirements.

'Safety Valve' is used regardless of application or design ***

*** 'Pressure-relief Valve' is the equivalent ASME/API term ***

The reason could be due to a limited relieving capacity of one PSV. To calculate the relieving capacities of PSV's, the ASME Codes for power and heating boilers shows how to calculate those values.
 
To provide more safety, simply. And why? One could go on and on...
