I'm installing a new 200hp Miura Boiler and would appreciate advice from anyone with experience on some questions I have regarding the scoping out of the new building that will house this boiler (we're also sizing the boiler to leave room for a 2nd down the road.)
Questions:
1. How long have you had your Miuras or similar boilers?
2. Have you ever had to remove the entire boiler or the top section of the boiler and if so how did you do it (large forklift, crane, other)?
3. Do you have a removable roof and if you don’t do you wish you did?
4. What’s your drain system like? Do you have a trench across the floor or just a center drain? What kind of treatment does your effluent water receive (i.e. where do you send your waste water from your boiler room)? Does your blow-down separator tie into that drain?
5. Do you have a DA and water treatment? If so, are these units up against the wall or can you access them from all sides? My Miura rep said service is not required from behind and so we could save some space by having these units up against a wall.
Thanks again in advance for your time.
