Boiler steam control

I have a Specialty Chemical boiler DA tank whose pressure/temperature control valve is not functioning correctly and subsequently the DA tank is feeding water to the boiler that hasn’t been preheated properly. After troubleshooting it was recommended changing the valve.A new one was installed and it is already malfunctioning. This is the second time it has been changed in a year. This obviously affects the long term reliability of the boiler. I am recommending that since there is not a remote access a local gauge be installed upstream and downstream of the valve to give us better visuals of the pressure and we can better find a sweet spot for the set point. This is a pilot controlled steam valve. The boiler produces about 90 /100 pounds of steam and the valve is on a 1 inch line with pilot pressure range of 3 to 20 psi. Let me know your thoughts

Offhand, without more info, I'd say corrosion debris in your steam supply has bunged up the pilot on this steam control valve.

A sketch or PID will help clarify - what is DA - de aerated water?
