Hello everybody,
I'm having a hard time to find bolt manufacturer or distributor that sells bolts made from materials according to EN 10269.
I'm looking for hexagon head bolts (ISO 4014 or 4017) that are made from stainless steel EN 1.4307 or so. Why it is so hard to find these bolts even thought the EN 10269 is only harmonized standard for materials for fasteners and these materials should be used if possible?
I know that I can buy round bar made from such a material and machine my own bolts but I want to know is there some dealer who can sell me this kind of bolts?
Or am I totally mistaken on the whole bolt thing?
Is there something that I don't know (yes, a lot...) on the bolting matter according to PED. I know that it is possible to get PMAs to different materials but I don't have good understanding on how these PMAs are supposed to do.
I apologize if my questions are confusing. I try to study pressure vessel designing according to EN 13445 and I have done these tasks for only few months now, so everything is kind of confusing to me also.
Best regards
Hartsa
