Is there a standard that defines what the BOM callout symbol should be on the face of a drawing?

We currently use a circle with the item number inside with a leader pointing/attached to the component. We do this with both UG and Pro/E. Our German division uses MD4 and the use just a number with a leader pointing to the component. They do this because they use a number in a circle for their revisions. We use a number in a triamgle for revisions. We are trying to get to a standard method that both divisions can 'agree' on.

The most common way I have seen from variuos small to large companies is: Balloons for BOM, triangles for notes and hex for revisions.
