BOM "Description" column keeps showing assembly's, not components

This may seem like a simple problem but I'm a bit rusty after not having used SolidWorks for a couple of months.

I created a BOM in an assembly drawing, all the columns appear to display the correct component fields, except for the "Description" column. It repeats the description in the assembly property instead of displaying the parts' properties.

When I change the column's property to something other, it identifies each parts' properties, but when I switch back to "Description" it reverts back to the assembly's.

Anyone? I've tried everything I could, but my assembly property keeps showing up in my BOM.

I'm just going to throw some stuff out to see if it sticks...
I'm assuming that your 'Description' field is filled out in the custom properties of the part? Are you 100% sure you're selecting the component description for the column property? Is there a field in the custom properties of the parts that references the assembly?

You're in the Seattle area, aren't you? Come the the user group meeting tonight (details here) and bring a thumbdrive with the files and we can take a look at it.

Solved! I found the origin of the problem. The parts were created from the same template which had a Configuration Specific property also called "Description". Once I deleted it, the Custom property "Description" showed up on the BOM.
