We have a user here who has a 10 sheet drawing. Sheet 1 is the assembly of a test stand. On sheet 4 he has a sub-assembly. He wants to put the sub-assembly BOM on sheet 4 which is no problem. On sheet 1 he wants just one balloon in the BOM to call out the sub-assembly. We never did this before so I'm not sure how to go about this. I was thinking we would need to add another repeat region to the main BOM on sheet 1, but what parameters would we use? Is this the right approach? TIA for any help you can provide.

WRH,

When you create the BOM for your sub-assembly on sheet 4, this model must be set as default. Check the data on the bottom screen. Add the balloons in this view.

Then set the default model to the top level and go to page 1 and add again a new BOM. Use the same parameters as the first one on sheet 4 (rpt.index, rpt.qty, asm.mbr.name etc etc)

The only problem I see here is the numbering. On sheet one you will have 4 balloons with numers 1, 2, 3, and 4. In the sheet 4, you will have again balloons starting at number 1. If this is not a problem for you, then use this method.
