Bonding glass to plastic

Do you know any bonding system between glass and plastic component (except glue)?

Is there a means of bonding other than glue?

How permanent must this be?

Must it be sealed to liquids or to air?

Can you mould your plastic around a piece of glass?

Kami.K, there are VHB tapes. Will they work for you? No way to tell...
