Hi: We are an OEM and have problems bonding these two materials. We have been using Heavy duty PVC Cement from Oatey. Each piece is 2" x 2". We have 3 mechanical fasteners ( 1/4 bolts)that go through the joint so we are not looking for 100% adhesive strength. Just a little better. Oatey states that their PVC cement is clearly not designed for Polycarbonate. Any suggestions for what type of adhesive??

3M would probably have something. Scotch Weld DP-8005 or a nearby number most likely.

3M definitely has something that will work. DP-8005 is a two-part acrylic for low surface energy plastics like olefins. You should investigate other available adhesives for better suitability.

Cory,

I agree that there is likely a better choice availabe, although the TDS for DP-8005 does list both PVC and Polycarbonate.

DP-805/820 might be a better choice.

It is disappointing that the 3M "Product Selector" on the web site does not list Polycarbonate as a possible material choice.
