I am working on Power plant for fire protection system. One thing i am confusing regarding booster pump.
The plant is designed with main pump(Duty+Stand-by+Jokey pump) & Booster pump(Duty+stand-by+Jokey pump).
The water source for booster pump is taking from main pump to boost the pressure and supply to stand pipe located on high elevation.
For booster pump, does it need a jockey pump even it is taking water source from main pump with jocey pump?

For pumps in parallel, I have always seen 1 jockey pump for the assembly. For pumps in series, I have always seen a jockey pump for each one. The typical scenario I have seen is zoned systems in high rise applications.

Without jockey pump, the standpipe system pressure can be maintained only by kicking in with the booster pump, which is basically equal to using the main fire pump to maintain the ring main pressure.
