Boric Acid Process: Does anyone know where I can obtain public domain information on a process for the production of boric acid? I am looking for a typical process flowsheet with description.

Also, who are the companies involved in the design and engineering of boric acid plants.

In North America, US Borax and Ker McGee are primary producers, but I think they are both based on sodium borates. Turkey's production is based on colemanite and ulexite, that contain Ca. The processes used call for a sulphuric acid treat in an aqueous medium.

I hope that, although this is not exactly what you asked for, it may be of some help.
