Borings

Standard practice says that borings shall be backfilled with cement-bentonite grout mixture.Other that to avoid soil contamination, is there any other reason to do this?

Bore holes are also backfilled to prevent connecting aquifers that are at different elevations.

Its a safety thing.

The snakes in the bottom of the hole get tired of being written up by OSHA when gophers fall on their heads. 8<)
