Bottom Plate thickness

Dear All,

May I know, is there any criteria in API 650, that the thickness of the Bottom plate shall be equal to the thickness of the First Shell course.
Also, should the thickness of the Annular plate (if used) shall be equal to the thickness of the Bottom plate.

Depending on the tank design, the bottom plate may be thinner, thicker, or the same as the first shell course. But see the limitations in E.6.2.1.1.3.
Usually, an annular plate is same thickness as the rest of the bottom, or thicker. I've never seen an annular plate thinner than the remainder of the bottom.
