Bounding Box, Force to top of feature tree for selected solid

Is there a way to do this with Knowledge Fusion or something?

If your using the bounding body to measure a solid that gets features added to it after the bounding body is made, you have to manually drag it to the top of the feature tree to get accurate dims.
If you forget or make an edit to the body your measuring by accident, the BOM reporting will just be wrong.

I've got associative measurements on the bounding body itself auto reporting to the parts list thru the attribute system.
Quite a few parts in a custom library are set up this way.
It works well but this is one of the pit falls.

I don't know why this tool isn't smart like "extract body"
At least you can turn toggle "Fix at Current Time Stamp" on and off

If that could be added to it would be a lot more powerful and useful.

What for You are using bounding box? If You have bounding box, You have also "stock size" to measure part size (x, y, z direction). Since NX 10 it functionality increased to follow model changes.

I'm not familiar with "Stock size" or how to extract it from the bounding body.
Is this done with a standard tool?

I am using it to measure my parts. I get the info from the solid with associative measurements.
Those values are then sorted , formatted and delivered to the appropriate attributes depending on some expression logic.

The issue with the body is keeping it at the top of the feature tree. If it's not it can't report the right size when features that would change that box come after it.

My seed files already have the box and measurements set up to eliminate the tedium at the end of the job.

Sorry it use also Mold wizard license. I was sure, that You have MW, because this function "create box" was only in this license. I think that since NX 11 it is also added to standard license.
