Hello,
there is a specific reason why for relay application of both ferritic SS or Si-Fe alloys, Br and Hc values are generally required misuring at the maximum flux density of 1 Tesla ( 10kG) instead of saturation flux density Bs ?

No.1 reason: both 10KG and Bs test points will give you a similar Hc and Br, so no need to go a higher field to saturate the material to get the real Hc. but be aware that Hc and Br will be theortically lower when using a lower field point. if hte field is too small, one will get a minor loop, Hc and Br will be drastically lower.
No.2, the applications are not intereted in the higher fields.

note that people normally use 200Oe as the test point to get Hc for FeCo, use 5000Gs test point to get Hc for Fe-80Ni permally (ASTM A753 alloy type 3,4.

Thank you for your answer and I agree with your evaluation. I think a knowledge of Hc and magnetization curve would suffice because Brem depends on the magnetic circuit condition and could vary.
