Good morning Gentleman,

I am currently looking for a resource that shows connection details on when W-sections are used for bracing. As I have never done this before, any insight would be appreciated. I have looked through the AISC book, having a hard time finding information on this. I also looked through the AISC design guides. I swore there was a bracing connections section, but perhaps I was wrong.

See the AISC Design Guide 29, particularly Chapter 3. Volume II of the 9th Edition Manual p. 7-111 also deals with W-section bracing although it's a bit out dated.

My first recommendation would also have been DG29. Akbar Tamboli's book is good as well.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.

Ah thanks guys, I didn't have DG29, do now though
