Break in new residential post tensioned slab

I have a new house that is being built and the foundation was poured two weeks ago and apparently during the pulling of the cables one of the corners broke.
The builder will be fixing it with 5500 psi concrete, steel plates, etc. not sure of the exact details, but i plan to get more information.
My question is this a reason to back out of the contract and is there a good fix for this issue.

You need to go back to the structural engineer of record for this and have him give you a fix, not the contractor.

The thiong thst bothers me is why pt construction was used for a residence in the first place. Seems like an overkill to me.

Most of the tract housing here in the Phoenix AZ area seems to have PT slab on grade foundations.
I would require an engineered sealed repair detail by (or reveiwed by) the EOR.
