Break-out section view

Hi,
I don't know, how to choose a boundary to create break-out view. I tried to choose curves from sketch and from Lines and arcs toolbar. But it doesn't work.
Could you help me? THX

It isn't quite what you are looking for but there is a link to a nice video that uses break out sectioning in a way differnt than what you are using it for.
