Among other components in a product assembly, I have two linked CATParts.
Every math data modification I make in one of them, will be applied(of course)in the other.
How could I beak the link between these two files?

Thanks....

What kind of link do they have? Are they essentially two instances of the same part?

Little Cthulhu,

Thanks for reply.
Yes, they used two instances of the same part.
We use 3DEXPERIENCE here. I believe that the previous designer used Evolve Instance.................
But I can use/convert any Catia (native) related information; it should be very similar....

so you want to make a new part out of a copy of another? well, when you do the copy (Ctrl C), do then paste special, and choose break link option. that gives you a new part, and not an instance of the old one...

You need to think about how you will deal with BoM...do you need a new variant of the part?
In 3DX you have the option to duplicate or create a branch in ENOVIA Collaborative Lifecycle, both in web browser or in the native app.
The internal ID will depend on which option you will choose, the title of the part can be kept as it is (I know this is can be a little bit confusing for new 3DX users).
