Yes, where I work we still do everything with 2D drawings...

Anyone know how to insert a break or gap in a dimension extension line where it intersects the text of another dimension? According to the people who have been here a while this feature was available in NX5 but no one can find it in NX6.

Let me know if you need to instructions what to do from there, but the people who have been on NX5 should be able to show you

It's the people who used NX5 that want to know how to do it in NX6. If you know how, please do post instructions.

You have to use a User Defined Symbol for that. Go to...

Insert -> Symbols -> User Defined...

...and when the dialog comes up, under 'User Symbols in:' select 'Utility Directory' and when the list of symbols comes-up selecting one of the ones labeled 'GAPXX' and then select the first icon on the Left ('Add to Drafting Object')in the row at the bottom of the dialog and follow the instructions on the 'Que & Status' line. It may take a bit to get used to, but if you're careful you'll get the hang of it.
