broadcast conversion from nz to uk tv's

I am emmigrating to New Zealand soon, we're taking our British Tv's. As I have been told that british tvs will receive sound but no picture, does anyone know if I can obtain a converter so that the tv will produce a picture .
If you do could you let me know from where

If they're not compatible, then sell them and buy new ones. It is always nice toi have a new TV...
