Is premature wear and pitting on ONLY ONE BRUSH for a DC motor indicative of a certain problem. The negative brush is the one wearing when the motor rotates CCW (when looking at the face of the motor)

We are a OEM Using a Lesson DC motor,108502 00, Model C182D17FK2B, We have had two motors fail within two months. It is reported that only one of the brushes is deteriorating to point it damages the commentator. We have had a lot of success with this motor on this model of machine with years of service, but this machine we are having motor failure within 2 months.

Look for a specific site influence that predisposes the physical location one brush to dust, dirt, oil or moisture accumulation.
