I am in search of a brushless DC motor that has the following requirements to
drive a homemade ceiling fan. The fan is an 8' Aerometer windmill, probably 60 to 80 pounds.

I am in search of a pancake style housing, high torque, low speed (maybe 75 RPM max)DC brushless
probably 1 horsepower, either 120 or 240 input, direct drive without pullies or belts manufactured in the USA.
& i am sure I have left out other important information.

I have no clue how to figure out the technical side of this so I am asking for advice.

Any off the shelf motors & drive available that could be used for my application.
or names of companies or people to contact is also helpful.

Thanks
Mark

Why DC brushless? DC brushless that can be fed with 120 or 240VAC household single phase power means there has to be an AC/DC controller somewhere.

Why 1HP? That’s a big motor ask for this kind of application. Are you wanting to get 20MPH winds out of this thing?
