BS449 Versus BS5950

Does anyone have any references on direct comparisons between steelwork designs to BS449 and BS5950? We have a client who is insisting that we re-design our structure to 5950 when we have a perfectly good design to 449. We are looking to demonstrate by literature review that the two codes give comparable results.
