Hello
I have a question on sectional arrangements and hatching. Drawing mechanical components, in a section view what is the standard for hatching in BS8888. The reason I ask is that we are sectioning a part in aluminum and the listed hatch pattern is ANSI38. This is essentially a cross hatch pattern with broken and staggered lines in one of the directions. When applied to the drawing view it make the lines look a little unclear, so I am keen to check on what is the standard when working to BS8888. I would like to stick to the standards where possible. Usually the materials are steel or iron, which are a much planer hatch in continuous lines and so don't have negative impact on the clarity of the details.
Appreciate any guidance from the community. clipping attached.
Kind regards
David
