What's the closest substitute readily available in the US. I have tried to find one, but this seems like a unique alloy. The drawing also specifies condition W and induction hardening 50-55 Rc 3mm deep.

Recommended for you

Grade 4340 from SAE J404 and other standards is the closest North American grade. It has less Ni than EN26, which means less hardenability in large sections and reduced toughness. Corus is one of the few producers of this grade in the world.
