Hi,

We are looking to apply for our ISO 9001. I have come across BSI and QMS as auditors / consultants, but someone told me that certification by QMS is not regarded as very good.

Is this true?

I have never used either one, and have not heard negative comments of either. What makes the QMS certification "not regarded as very good"? Is the audit process lax? Do they not offer training?

More than a decade ago I was told that if the company planned to ship products to the EU (or get CE cert), pull out the wallet and pay for TUV certification. The company did, and had no issues.

Try DNV. We have found them to be fair but also challenging us to improve.

Look and see what registrars your biggest customers use. That is a good indication of what they will be looking for in your quality system.
