Has any body ever had Primavera P3 get unresponsive due to conflict of the Btrieve data base engine?
Case at point, I have P3 version 3.1 in my laptop. About two weeks ago I loaded in it another program that apparently, was also based on Btrieve of a different version. As a result, the newly loaded program did not work giving a message pointing to a Btrieve conflict. I removed the new program from the computer but P3 did not work any more. I have removed P3 more than once and everytime I intend to run it, I get an "error message = 20" report or a failed to initialize Btrieve. Any suggestions?

Yes, I have had this problem in the past. Primavera has a couple of programs to correct this problem,
PWFW.EXE and PRMMD.EXE. These are accessible through thier Knowledgebase at You will need your Primavera serial number in order to download these files, so I suggest you have that before you log in to the website. You can get the serial number by going into the program, clicking on Help, and then go to About P3.

Why haven't you upgraded to 5.0? I love it and don't have all of those problems anymore. You can import your existing schedules, plus MS Project schedules, into Primavera 5.0.
