hello, i am a final y master student.
A want to perform linear buckling analysis of the system shown in the attached picture. there is a thin (laminated) plate fixed on some support. we know that the plate buckles for some deformations of the support. there is a concentrated force on the support.
is there a way to control which part of my system is analysed for buckling?
is it possible to include only the thin plate? and exclude completely the contribution of the support (in generating of geometric stiffness matrix)?
thank you in advance,
L.
