Building services engineering

Hello everyone, I am an electrical engineer very new to building services, I would like to know what exactly I need to know in order to do well in the field. I am starting a new job in building services but not sure what I will be expected to do and what exactly I need to be capable of . Do you recommend any books?

The National Building Code and the National Electrical Code. Then look for local exceptions and amendments.
