Hi All,

Does anyone have knowledge in the use of Troughdek within an Australian building slab?

I am looking at a section of a drawing for a slab that has 3/300 - T20/F20 topped with 2.5" concrete and reinforced with 1 layer of AS N605 Fabric 1" from top

Am I right in saying that the A.S N 605 Fabric is steel reinforcement mesh with 0.5" bars at 6" centres?

I am currently completing load ratings for the slab but am unsure how to calculate the load capacity of the sleep to include the Troughdek, I have also attached a screenshot from the drawing for your reference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Nick

Never heard of it. If it is in Imperial units it is pre 1974. In those days metal deck was assumed to have very limited bond based on a service stress design if I remember correctly.
