A quick and easy one, hopefully. Not looking for anything too exact...

Could anyone tell me the typical bulk density of cement stabilised sand (cement content 5~10%)? Saturated vs unsaturated?

Also, how pervious is this material? Will it become saturated or does the cement tend to keep the water out?

Thanks in advance

Cement stabilized sand with 5% cement is soil-cement. It achieves strengths in the 100-300 psi range and is mostly impervious. The density will vary, but will likely be in the 110 to 115 pcf range when compacted.

It will not keep water out. Neither does pure cement.

Einstein gave the same test to students every year. Why would he have done that? "Because the answers had changed."
