Hello,

which is the proper sealing material of a butterfly valve, for use in petrol pipelines?

We use gate and slab gates in our crude oil lines. We don't use butterfly valves.

Also, if you need the valve to be fire safe, you would need a metal to metal seal.

We are also starting to use ball valves (with metal seats).
