Hello,

I am working with Autocad 2000, and our business is expanding to another city. So my question to you is would it be cheaper to buy another seat for the Cad 2000 that we already have or upgrade to the latest version of Autocad. Now, we are just civil company, so we do not do many 3-d modeling or intricate autocad drawings, just the line work and text.

Thanks
Juice

I am not sure of your question exactly, but it is cheaper to upgrade your existing version than to purchase a brand new one.

Hi,

We are also a civil consulting firm. We do use autocad 14 and 2000, but I guess you don't do autolisp or vba or complicate 3d, you might be as well with autocad light (and it's cheaper too).

For line work and text, why use AutoCAD at all? For $200 you can get Intellicad, which reads and writes dwg files. See
